Geoffrey & Victoria
Geoffrey and Victoria had their eyes set on Malaysia as the destination for their wedding ever since their trip here over 10 years ago. Saujana Hotel was the venue of choice as it offers the best of both worlds; vast greenery with outdoor and indoor setup coupled with its close proximity to the city.
The couple and their families arrived nine days in advance for the final preparation of their wedding. It was also the first time that our planner met up with the couple after six months of planning and communicating via e-mails.
Destination Wedding Planning & Coordination
Buck & Doe Night, Rehearsal Breakfast, Activities, Ceremony, Dinner Reception
Size of function: 250 guests
Liaising with the bestman and bridesmaid over emails, Natasha helped organize the buck and doe activities at some hot spots in KL. On the eve of wedding, a casual, Malaysian-style rehearsal breakfast was scheduled at 6:00AM to allow all the guests to mingle, break the ice and recover from jetlag. On the morning of the wedding, the bride’s entourage pampered themselves at the spa followed by champagne brunch in the bridal suite.
The ceremony was very heart-warming, especially in the presence of loved ones who flew in from Beijing, London, Brisbane and Sydney to witness this special moment. The wooden interior of Saujana’s Zamrud room brought about a rustic Malaysian opulence that was cozy.
The dinner was laid back yet elegant. Sexy and intimately glamorous with a tropical Malay dining experience. Black magic roses complimented the black laced table overlays, handmade black and gold damask place cards and pearl napkin holders. Wood-crafted trinket boxes filled with Malay cookies were given away as wedding favours. Since Geoffrey and Victoria are avid travellers, they decided on miniature luggage bags as their wedding cake. These miniature luggage cakes were then given away as souvenirs to guests while the top tiered chocolate mud cake was served as dessert. The party continued on at RP Entertainment Centre. Geoffrey and Victoria took off to South Africa a day after, while we arranged day trips to Malacca for some guests.
Favourite Priceless Moments: When Victoria danced with her eldest brother, Russell during the father-daughter dance with a touching slideshow in the background dedicated in memory of her late father.
