Michael and Jun Yee
"Marriage is not just a vow of commitment to each other, but it goes deeper than that. It is about being unselfish, unconditional sacrifices when you realize your only aims are to make your partner happy and feeling secured. I am a good old fashion man. I enjoy the traditional aspects of the wedding; exchange vows, tea ceremony, wedding march, first dance and toasting. It solemnizes the importance of the wedding." – Michael –
Marching in to the song "Daddy’s Angel", Jun Yee entered the hall through the cantilever stairs of Bankers Club together with her father, radiating beauty in her simple A-line dress from La Sposa Barcelona with a pink and rusty orange bouquet in hand. Despite the grand crystal chandeliers towering above the Nyatoh wood interior and floor to ceiling glass windows, and the rich bright colours of red, orange and yellow decoration that filled the exclusive penthouse space, nothing could have stolen the limelight away from the reserved couple who stood out in a class above; in love and in refined elegance.

As the planner, our biggest concern was to ensure the bright colours will not make the setting look tacky or OTT. Together with floral designer Wishing Tree, we managed to carry through the rich colours of red, orange and yellow in tasteful details that are current yet would remain timeless. Our direction of conceptualisation was to ensure that the wedding was classic but not too old-fashioned. It also needed a balance between Michael's reserved persona with Jun Yee’s youthful flamboyance.
Instead of classic English flowers and topiary arrangements, we went with Carla Lilies and Mokara Orchids as the theme flowers with floral artistry that is modern. The law journals formed an integral part of their decoration because they tell an important story of how their relationship started, along with poetry and quotes by English poet, William Shakespeare and feathered pens in hues of mahogany and black. The classic stuffiness was soften with bright colours of summer and our signature butterfly message cards.
For the evening wear, Jun Yee custom-made a simple but exquisite royal blue embroidered silk gown from Shanghai Tang. Mokara orchids were pinned onto her side-swept hairstyle for her second style, with slightly deeper pink cheeks for an almost 'China Doll' look. She kept her shoes in neutral beige and an 'Investment' which is comfortable and versatile for work.
Favourite Priceless Moments: The happiness that radiated from Jun Yee's eyes as she marched down the stairs into Michael's arm.
