Bernard & Cheryll | Blush + Gold

Bernard & Cheryll’s feminine and softly romantic ballroom wedding was set at the iconic Majestic Hotel. As customer #000001 according to the receipt and with the hotel still under construction, it was a good nine months before the hotel would open its doors. With a lot of blind faith, Bernard & Cheryll went ahead and booked the venue, banking everything on the brand delivery of the YTL Group and indeed, they delivered.

The colour palette for the wedding was gold, blush pink and white. The overall objective was to achieve an air of sweet romance. Three weeks before the wedding and due to wet weather forecast, Cheryll made the call to move their rooftop ceremony indoors to avoid the stress of ‘uncertainty’. Hydrangea floral wall and white trees with gold painted trunks adorned the entrance of the ballroom. We styled the dessert bar in luxurious blush pink and gold finishing. The dance floor was the focal feature in the centre of the ballroom with gold glitter carpet, soft sheer drapes and flowy flowers.

BEST ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE:
Plan a marriage, not a wedding. A wedding is probably the closest any one of us would get to being on the pages of a fairytale. Yet a wedding is just a setting, a setting for a marriage. Whatever the décor, plan your words the most. Plan what you will say as a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend. Choose your words to love, to thank, and to celebrate. It is during your speeches and your vows that whoever listens to your words will remember them forever. Everyone is there to celebrate a relationship going strong, so make them feel cherished, loved and appreciated. As they become part of your memories, you become a part of theirs. ~ as featured in The Wedding Notebook ~

Nik Zairidin & Erika Iskandar | Hijau

Beautifully decorated by Reka Teemor, this wedding, which was initially planned to be held at a hotel, was moved to a much larger hall due to the increase in guestlist. Both Nik Zairidin (Didi) and Erika were based in Perth. So, besides communicating via e-mails, our wedding planner met up with the groom in Singapore before the wedding to discuss the work-in-progress. Throughout the planning, The Peak Xperience worked closely with Didi’s mother, brother and sister-in-law on all matters pertaining to the wedding preparation.

Henry & Joveyn | Tiffany Tree of Life

Presenting the Pandora World of Henry and Joveyn — right at the heart of where it all began when Henry first spotted Joveyn at the Westin ballroom in a corporate event. Thus, a seed of love was planted, slowly nurtured and beautifully blossomed into a happy beginning of shared laughter, moments, hopes and dreams. Inspired by sci-fi movie, Avatar, the 'tree of life' concept was adopted to create a futuristic fantasy wedding infused with Joveyn's fashion-forward sense of style and Henry's far-minded technopreneurial personality.

From Anya Hindmarch's iconic ribbon which inspired the design of the couple's monogram to Martha Stewart's 'Which Tree Do You Fall From?' conversation starters, the dinner reception was the ultimate canvas of an Avatar-inspired wedding in futuristic sophistication.

Adrian & Lydia | Written in the Stars

Do you believe that some love stories are written in the stars? We do.

Adrian and Lydia grew up in the same neighbourhood. They frequented the same restaurants and shops. They hung out at the same playground. They even went to the same college and university. Their siblings took the same van to school every day. Yet, Adrian and Lydia have never met and never knew each other for over twenty years despite living few streets away from each other. The Hand that sheltered them from each other finally allowed them to meet by chance when Lydia was transferred to Adrian’s department when they were working in a local hospital. A love story that was written in the stars, by the powers that be.

With such an inspiring love story, the inspiration for their wedding came naturally to us and we set off to create a romantic starry night in twilight colours of silver, grey, blue and purple in the modern ballroom of Doubletree by Hilton. This was in stark contrast to their <Garden of Eden wedding ceremony during the day. Perspex, mirror, glassware and flickering candlelight illuminated the ballroom for a celebration of fellowship, love and family.
